In the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan – Amman, on the 1st and 2nd of November 2023, the Association of Banks in Jordan held the first Jordanian-Iraqi banking meeting, Under the patronage of the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Dr. Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Dr. Adel Sharkas.
The Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises Limited, represented by the Executive Director, Mr. Muhammad Al-Handal, and his assistant, Mr. Haitham Al-Qaisi, participated in the meetings organized by the Iraqi Private Banks Association and the Jordanian Banks Association to achieve cooperation between the financial and banking sectors in both brotherly countries.
Dialogue sessions were held with the Deposit Insurance Corporation, The Jordanian Loan Guarantee Company and the National Microfinance Bank) on developing the finance sector because of its role in enhancing financial inclusion and creating sustainable and economic development.
