Job Summary
The Loan Officer works directly with customers in the field to promote loans, determine customer creditworthiness, complete loan applications, perform customer follow-ups and manage loan workflow.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Advertise and promote the company's program.
- Manage loan applications and approval process within the specified region.
- Complete the loan application on the applicant and guarantor's website.
- Conducting necessary assessments for businesses and business owners/homeowners.
- Ensure prompt submission of application documents, disbursement and repayment of the loan.
- Provide periodic information about the portfolio.
- Contact clients and guarantors regarding loan approval/denial, additional information required on pending applications, and for loan disbursements.
Qualifications and requirements
Be prepared for field work.
He must have a high school diploma, and it is preferable to have a bachelor’s degree.
He has the ability to work independently.
Have a strong knowledge of the local community.
To have knowledge of mathematics.
- Main responsibilities
- Recording daily journal entries in accordance with approved accounting principles.
- Preparing financial reports (monthly / quarterly / annual).
- Monitoring accounts receivable and payable and preparing the required reports.
- Reviewing expenses and verifying the validity of supporting documents.
- Preparing payroll statements and deductions in coordination with the Human Resources Department.
- Performing periodic bank reconciliations.
- Supporting internal and external audit processes and providing the required data.
- Maintaining financial records in an organized and confidential manner.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Financial Sciences, or any related field.
- Minimum of (2–5) years of practical experience in accounting or financial auditing, preferably within financial companies or lending institutions.
- Good knowledge of approved accounting principles and standards, including financial entries and reconciliations.
- Ability to prepare and analyze periodic financial reports accurately and efficiently.
- Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as performing bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, deductions, and handling confidential financial information with a high level of discretion.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to support internal and external audit processes and prepare the required financial data and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, handle work pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Preferably knowledgeable about the regulations and instructions issued by Central Bank of Iraq and other relevant regulatory authorities.
