On 01/28/2024, the activities of the Competition Law and Antimonopoly Conference were launched in Al Mahatta Hall, which was held by a team of school student volunteers in cooperation with the Prime Minister, the Council for Competition and Antimonopoly Affairs, the House of Hekma Training and Consulting Company, and Al Mahatta Foundation, with a silver sponsorship from the Iraqi Finance Company.
The Council for Competition and Monopoly Affairs aims to ensure freedom of competition and prevent monopoly in the markets, because competition and preventing monopoly are important in creating an incentive to reduce cost and price and improve quality for goods and services offered in the market, which leads to encouraging the private, mixed and public sectors and developing them in support of the national economy and good flow of goods and services. .
