Preparatory meeting for launching the "Supporting Housewives – Entrepreneurship" initiative.

In the context of enhancing partnerships and national initiatives, participated Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises on Tuesday, corresponding to 7 January 2025 in a preparatory meeting held at the headquarters of the Ruwwad Initiative in Baghdad, under the sponsorship of the Iraqi Guarantees Company and in the presence of Dr. Hussein Flamerz, Head of the Initiative's Executive Team and Advisor to the Prime Minister.

The new initiative aims to empower housewives and people with disabilities by providing soft loans and specialized training enabling them to work from home without the need for a guarantor in the first phase, as part of a plan to enhance financial inclusion and support the economic independence of Iraqi women..

Participated Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises In the meeting, alongside representatives from the Iraqi Guarantees Company and participating banks (Gulf Commercial Bank andAl-Mashreq Arab Islamic Bank). The company will also collaborate with the Iraqi Guarantees Company to provide guarantees of up to 75% of the loan value, thereby reducing credit risks and supporting the initiative's success.
