The Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises participated in the World Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day event organized by the International Labor Organization in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment on Thursday, June 27.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Agriculture, Industry, Environment and Labor, in addition to representatives of the private sector from financing companies and the guarantee company. There was a discussion about green projects, where the concept of green projects was reviewed and how to transform businesses to be more environmentally friendly and keep pace with international standards. Also, cooperation to protect the environment. Representatives of the ministries discussed ways of cooperation to protect the environment, create a healthy and safe environment, benefit from industrial and agricultural waste, and support financing for green projects. The Assistant Director of the Iraqi Company gave an explanation about the company and its green programs and highlighted its efforts in promoting green businesses in Babil Governorate, noting the availability of agricultural spaces, female labor and livestock. He also reviewed the company’s expansion plans in the southern and northern governorates for the year 2024.
