Green Business Camp: "A Journey from Green Ideas to Green Profit"

In a step aimed at promoting the concept of green business in Iraq, the Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Projects participated in the camp organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) under the slogan "A Journey from Green Ideas to Green Profit" in Basra from June 22 to 24, on the occasion of Small and Medium Enterprises Day.

The camp attracted a large number of small business owners who showcased their existing and successful projects that support the environment in the Basra and Muthanna governorates. They were trained by the International Labour Organization through intensive and professional workshops focused on innovation, learning, and collaboration to develop green ideas and reflect them in their business models, with technical support from specialized trainers to manage and grow their businesses in a way that better serves society and the environment. This event was characterized by a positive and interactive atmosphere among participants, providing them with the opportunity to exchange experiences and innovative ideas in the field of green business.

This camp lasted for three days, and at its conclusion, a group of participants was selected to receive rewards, financial grants, and awards presented by the Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Projects (ICF) and other contributing companies. These awards aim to support and develop small projects that contribute to achieving environmental sustainability.

The Green Business Camp aims to raise awareness about the importance of green business and environmental sustainability, support and develop small projects that contribute to environmental conservation, and encourage innovation and the exchange of ideas among small business owners.
