Conference on Competition Law and Anti-Monopoly

On January 28, 2024, the activities of the Conference on Competition Law and Anti-Monopoly commenced at Al-Mahatta Hall. The event was organized by the Team of School Student Volunteers in cooperation with the Prime Minister's Office, the Competition and Anti-Monopoly Affairs Council, Bayt Al-Hikma for Training and Consultations, and Al-Mahatta Foundation, with silver sponsorship from the Iraqi Company for Financing.

The Competition and Anti-Monopoly Affairs Council aims to ensure freedom of competition and prevent monopolies in markets. Competition and anti-monopoly measures are crucial as they create incentives to reduce costs and prices while improving the quality of goods and services offered in the market. This, in turn, encourages the development of the private, mixed, and public sectors, supporting the national economy and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services.
