A delegation from the Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Projects visited the headquarters of the French Embassy in Baghdad. The meeting was held with the assistants to the head of the economic section at the embassy.
During the meeting, a brief presentation was given about the company, outlining its role in supporting financing through banks, in addition to direct lending via its extensive branch network. Areas of existing cooperation with a number of international organizations were also reviewed, including The International Labour Organization (ILO), andThe World Bank, andThe United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), particularly in the areas of youth training and women's empowerment.
On their part, officials from the French Embassy praised the company's efforts and its role in supporting development projects, expressing their interest in enhancing future cooperation avenues, particularly in the areas of knowledge transfer and providing technical support for projects targeting high-need areas. This visit comes within the framework of the Iraqi company's keenness to expand its international partnerships and explore opportunities that contribute to empowering small and medium enterprises and supporting sustainable development in Iraq.
